We dare you to think carefully before you scroll down.

10. V/H/S (2012)

Footage-type horrors always scare the hell out of us. The fact that it's not just one, but multiple, stories, and the fact that it has sequels feels just illegal. Watch it if you feel like you can take it.

9. Antichrist (2009)

If we could, we would add every single Lars von Trier's movie to this list because that is what he does to us — traumatizes us so much that we want more. Please, close your eyes when you see Charlotte Gainsbourg take the scissors.

8. Sinister (2012)

The whole movie is full of scenes of different families being murdered and filmed on an old camera. The tapes are followed by disturbing music and you literally can't handle it after the first 30 minutes.

But still, one of the best horrors of all time that gives us chills until this day.

7. The Evil Dead Rise (2023)

Literally, the best horror film of 2023 so far. It has everything we love: intense moments, disturbing scenes (the one with a grater, excuse me?), lack of hope, and too damn charming, and horrible at the same time, villain.

6. Terrifier (2016)

The most horrible murder scenes we've ever witnessed on the screen that barely let us finish the movie. After watching, we guarantee that the crazy clown face will stay in your head rent-free.

5. The Strangers (2008)

Home-invasion-themed movies always have the potential to trigger anyone. The film is so real that it makes you cry your heart out for the main characters. We are still not over the last minutes of the movie.

4. X (2022)/ Pearl (2022)

Nothing is scarier than an aging woman and a woman who is not valued enough. Outstanding Mia Goth's performance in both pictures will leave your mind full with her charming thin voice mixed with disturbing murder scenes.

3. Hereditary (2018)

This movie must be in every top 3 horror list as it gave us so many sleepless nights. The car scene has no right to be that much unforgettable.

2. The House That Jack Built (2018)

It's so ugly that it's good. The longest murder scenes you'll ever witness and the worst house a man could build. Where are you supposed to put a bed in there?

1. Midsommar (2019)

The movie gave us Florence Pugh 's famous frown so we want to thank Ari Aster for breaking our mental health, it made sense. A genius movie, sick but genius.
