Know your dragons.

Out of the nine dragons that are confirmed to appear in season 1 of 'House of the Dragon ', Caraxes has arguably garnered the most fan love – not least due to his unique snake-like design that illustrates why he is called Caraxes the Blood Wyrm.

But when it comes to size, can he compete with the dragon that still remains iconic for the 'Game of Thrones ' universe – Drogon? The latter was ridden by Daenerys Targaryen in 'Game of Thrones' and his size has changed over the course of the original.

So if we're talking Caraxes vs. Drogon size competition, who is winning?

Sorry, Drogon fans, but Caraxes the Bloody Wyrm wins the contest no matter the timeline. Even if we take Drogon's size in the final episode of 'Game of Thrones', it is still somewhere between the size of Meleys and Syrax. Both of them are smaller than Caraxes.

Earlier in 'Game of Thrones', Drogon was a lot smaller than Caraxes – mainly because of his age, as the Blood Wyrm is a fully grown adult beast, while we remember Drogon as a dragon egg.

Despite the fact that Caraxes beats Drogon when it comes to size, the Daenerys dragon still remains an iconic and important part of the Game of Thrones universe. Somewhat a golden standard of the dragon design in GoT, he definitely laid the groundwork for the 'House of the Dragon' designers when they came up with new looks for the fire-breathers.
