The long-awaited 'Game of Thrones' prequel does not premiere on HBO Max for another month, but the world premiere already gathered celebrities on the red carpet.

On Wednesday, July 27, all eyes were on 'House of the Dragon' season 1 premiere, held at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

Let's take a look at the celebrity guests and their red carpet outfits:

Singer Abner Ramirez and his wife, singer-songwriter Amanda Sudano Ramirez

Emily Carey, who plays younger version of Alicent Hightower in the show, posing in Givenchy

Olivia Cooke (older Alicent Hightower; can you spot some family resemblance here?), wearing Thom Browne

Emma D'Arcy in full Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen mode

Milly Alcock, playing Rhaenyra Targaryen younger version

English Actress Eve Best, who portrays Princess Rhaenys Velaryon on the show

Fabien Frankel, playing Ser Criston Cole in 'House of the Dragon' and breaking some hearts already

Kate Siegel, the star of 'The Haunting of Hill House', supporting her colleagues on the red carpet

Lisa Edelstein

Man of the hour: Matt Smith plays Prince Daemon Targaryen, the most experienced warrior of his time and a brother of King Viserys I Targaryen

The King himself: Paddy Considine, who portrays King Viserys Targaryen, posing happily on the red carpet

Hotly anticipated HBO Max series is taking its viewers back into the 'Game of Thrones' fantasy world, full of political intrigue, scheming, betrayal, and, of course, dragons. Set 200 years prior to the events of the 'Game of Thrones', the prequel is centered around the House Targaryen civil war and follows the plot of George R. R. Martin's novel Fire & Blood quite closely – not surprising, considering that the writer himself took part in adapting the storyline for the small screen. 'House of the Dragon' is set to premiere on HBO Max streaming service on Sunday, August 21.
