'House of the Dragon' Season 3 & 7 Other Most Anticipated TV Series to Be Released in June 2026

June 2026 promises to be a treat for fans of quality television. The spotlight is, of course, the third season of House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel that will finally bring us back to Westeros.
We've rounded up seven highly anticipated projects coming to streaming services in June.
1. 'House of the Dragon' Season 3

The Game of Thrones prequel is set approximately 200 years before the events of the main series. Following the death of King Viserys I Targaryen, his daughter Princess Rhaenyra and her former friend Alicent Hightower – who became the king's second wife and bore him sons – begin vying for the throne.
The second season builds up to the final confrontation. Rhaenyra becomes more brutal, seeking new allies, while Aegon II Targaryen is gravely wounded. It seems the upcoming chapter will be as spectacular as ever.
2. 'Cape Fear'
Release Date: June 5, 2026
Streaming Platform: Apple TV+
Max Cady spent 17 years in prison after his lawyers, Tom and Anna Bowden, hid evidence that could have helped him. Now, seeking revenge, he begins to torment the Bowdens' family, becoming increasingly violent.
The series is based on John D. MacDonald's book The Executioners, or more specifically, its two film adaptations, which is where the title Cape Fear comes from. Nick Antosca, creator of the horror series Channel Zero and Brand New Cherry Flavor, is directing the new adaptation.
Antosca promises that the new version will not be a complete replica of the original and previous adaptations, but will significantly expand the story.
3. 'The Bear' Season 5
Release Date: June 25, 2026

One of the most popular series began with the story of Carmy, a tough chef trying to keep his family restaurant afloat. Over the course of several seasons, however, the stakes have risen, and the plot now focuses more on the characters' internal conflicts and burnout.
The fifth season will be the series finale. Although The Bear has recently been criticized for its repetitive nature and contrived confrontations, the ending is sure to be emotional.
4. 'Every Year After'
Release Date: June 10, 2026
Streaming Platform: Prime Video
Percy and Sam met when they were young and spent every summer together. A first love gradually blossomed between them, but then they were separated for six years. When they meet again, they must address the omissions and mistakes of their past.
The series is based on Carley Fortune's popular romantic novel Every Summer After, which has a large fan base. The story unfolds in two parallel timelines separated by only six years, so both versions of the characters are played by the same actors.
5. 'Not Suitable for Work'
Release Date: June 2, 2026
Streaming Platform: Disney+
Five twenty-year-olds from a good New York City neighborhood recently graduated from high school. Now, they're all obsessed with building careers in their respective fields, from finance to medicine.
At the same time, they are trying to establish their personal lives, though they understand that this won't align well with their future careers.
The series was created by Mindy Kaling, whom many will remember from her role as Kelly on The Office. She also wrote for that show and then created her own, The Mindy Project. Expect the author's signature witty humor and conversations about personal and social issues.
6. 'Sugar' Season 2
Release Date: June 19, 2026
Streaming Platform: Apple TV+
John Sugar is a private detective who is modest, polite, loves old movies and avoids violence. He's also an excellent investigator who can fight off villains if necessary.
In the first season, he searched for the daughter of a famous producer and uncovered a large-scale conspiracy.
The project, starring Colin Farrell, was originally conceived as a miniseries but was renewed due to its popularity. It's unclear what the creators will do in Season 2 after one of the most abrupt turns in television history.
7. 'I Will Find You'
Release Date: June 18, 2026
Streaming Platform: Netflix
David was imprisoned and accused of murdering his son. Some time later, he received information that the child might still be alive. This development should exonerate David, but it remains unclear who is behind it.
The series has the potential to be the perfect detective thriller. The project is based on a book by Harlan Coben, whose previous novels have been adapted into Shelter, The Stranger, and Safe.
The series stars Sam Worthington and Milo Ventimiglia, and Netflix is adapting it, which could mean an expensive production.
8. 'The Vampire Lestat'
Release Date: June 7, 2026
Streaming Platform: AMC+
The series is based on Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles, but it significantly alters the original plot. It focuses on Louis de Pointe du Lac, who recounts how Lestat turned him into a vampire in the 1910s.
Starting with the third season, the series will be called The Vampire Lestat and will likely retell the plot of the second book. However, events may contradict the previous story because each is told from the perspective of an unreliable narrator.
