The more the merrier is just the case this time.

The Office is the iconic show that almost no one has ignored and watched at least once in their life. But there's a catch. We are sure that the show you are most likely thinking of right now is the American version of The Office.

When you hear the title of the show, Michael Scott, Jim and Pam, or Dwight Schrute are undoubtedly the first names that come to your mind.

But the thing is that these guys are actually not the ones who were the first managers and employees of The Office. The most popular version of the show is actually the remake of the British show of the same name.

The "Michael Scott" of the first show is actually David Brent. But that's probably the only difference between them. Both characters are really overwhelming and have the worst possible, though sometimes somewhat brilliant, qualities to hold their positions.

Well, this may not be news to true fans of the show, but it's still quite interesting to realize how popular the remake has become.

But there is more. It turns out that the American version was not even the first to come out after the original show.

The first ever remake of a BBC show was the German version of The Office called Stromberg. It first aired in 2004 and ran for 5 seasons.

In fact, this remake was quite popular and has great ratings, despite the fact that it has a lot of major differences from The Office that we all love.

So the third was the American remake, which became by far the best. It first aired in 2005 and lasted for 9 seasons. And it was after that when the international journey of The Office show began.

Well, we have Le Bureau from the French creators, La Job from Canada (interesting choice of title, huh?) and even La Ofis from Chile. All of these versions lasted only one season and weren't really that popular with viewers.

Then something unexpected happened... Israel decided to create their own show on a BBC base in 2010 and titled it Ha Misrad, which translates as "paper office." The series has only 15 episodes, and the show's creator, Uzi Weill, wrote them all himself!

So the most curious fans will now have the opportunity to witness brand manager Avi Meshulam trying to survive in a toxic atmosphere.

Then it seems to have become a new tradition to try to release a new remake every two years. In 2012, Sweden decided it was time to join the party with their Kontoret. In 2014, the Czech Republic aired their 6 episodes of Kancl.

In 2017 Finland released their own version called Konttori. The show had 3 seasons and 26 episodes. Two years later India did the same.

They called their version like the original, The Office, and aired 28 episodes of the show. The show is still being filmed, so you might want to give it a try. But be careful! You might get addicted.

In 2021 Poland released the first season of The Office PL. The third season of the show is filming now. And last year, even Saudi Arabia created their own The Office! But only one season of 20 episodes. Still, that's something!

So if you are tired of binge watching an American remake for the 100th time, you have 12 other versions to choose from!

Well, very soon we'll have to make it 13, as there is an Australian remake coming, led by actress and comedienne Felicity Ward.
