Peppa Pig is one of few children shows to keep its audiences entertained decades after its launch, recently providing a major plot twist for its story to make it all the way more compelling.
The franchise’s latest addition, the “Peppa Meets the Baby Cinema Experience” movie, was released in theatres worldwide back in May, revealing that Peppa has now become a big sister not only for George, but also for her new baby sister Evie, with Mommy Pig’s pregnancy announced several months prior to the premiere.
Despite the plot centring on Peppa’s family too, it’s not really that much to know about the character’s parents and their personalities.
However, there are some subtle details that Peppa Pig’s creators have already given its viewers about Mommy Pig, even unveiling the truth about her age.
Peppa Pig Believes Her Mom Is “Really Old” — Even Though She Isn’t
With Mommy Pig being featured on the show quite frequently, many viewers might have wondered how old the character is, since there are no visible signs indicating this in the series whatsoever.
Things actually get even vaguer in the episode titled “'Mummy Pig’s Birthday” where Daddy Pig reveals his wife’s age to Peppa and the latter gets surprised by saying “Wow! Really Old”.
This, however, isn’t a reason to think Mommy Pig is in fact old, as the show’s creators revealed back in the day that the character is believed to be younger than Daddy Pig who, in his turn, is around 30 years old.
How Old Are Peppa and George in ‘Peppa Pig’?
Meanwhile, Peppa is believed to be four years old, which is exactly the same age as the show’s target audiences, and her brother George is two years old.
In fact, most of Peppa’s friends in the playgroup are of the same age, including Peppa’s best friend Suzy Sheep who she shares a passion for talking with.
Despite their young age, both Peppa and George are always out there looking for adventures during which they are accompanied by their favourite toys.
