How to Make a Savory, Veggie-Packed Turkey Meatloaf in One Pan
A protein-rich dish you’ll want to repeat again and again.
Things might not be so easy when it comes to cooking meat, especially if it comes out dry every time you try to make it as juicy as possible. However, some recipes are meant to fix this mistake, with this one serving as an example. The famous turkey meatloaf covered with the most delicious ketchup glaze will turn out perfectly fine if you follow the instructions.
The bonus advantage is that, despite seeming a pretty complicated dish, the turkey meatloaf won’t take much time to get prepared.
Here’s what you need: 700 g of ground turkey, ¾ cup of crushed round crackers, ½ cup of milk, 1 small onion (chopped), 1 large egg, 2 cloves of garlic (minced), 1½ teaspoons of salt, ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper, a bit of Worcestershire sauce.
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a baking tray with sides.
In a bowl, combine the meat, crushed crackers, milk, onion, egg, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the prepared baking tray.
For the glaze, mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Then set aside.
Bake the loaf in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, remove from the oven, and drain any excess liquid. Coat the loaf with the prepared glaze. Put it back in the oven and continue baking until the center is no longer pink (about 30 minutes). A thermometer placed in the center should read no less than 71°C.
