I Predicted RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17's Winner
RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17, you'll be missed. This season was so good I actually will be furious if they don't get an Emmy this year.
I can hardly believe that Season 17 of Drag Race has officially come to an end. Like everyone else, I made my predictions for the finale and was right about two things: Onya Nurve as the winner and Jewels Sparkles as the underdog of the season.
But before we dive into our Top 2, let's take a look back at other memorable finale moments.
Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 17 Had Liza Minnelli’s First Appearance & More
The most iconic appearance of the entire night was the one and only Liza Minnelli accepting the Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award. The queens' reactions were priceless, but it was Suzie Toot's tearing up that really embodied all of our excitement.
Another big moment of the finale was the return of our two Miss Congenialities from last season. Sapphira Cristál and Xunami Muse looked beautiful and were funny as they announced the next Miss Congeniality, Crystal Envy.

Speaking of last season, Season 16 winner Nymphia Wind strutted down that runway in a stunning outfit she said she put together just yesterday.
I also have to mention that all four finalists brought something unique to the table. Jewels was campy. Lexi was the definition of a pop star on her roller skates. Onya was polished and fierce (as always). And Sam gave us her full country self.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 Final Lip-Sync Between Jewels Sparkles and Onya Nurve
Before the finale even came out, I had Lexi and Onya in the Top 2. I also called Jewels the underdog of the season but still underestimated her by placing her third. Well, Jewels’ body comedy pushed her into the finale alongside Onya.
The final song of the season was none other than Lady Gaga 's Abracadabra. Both queens showed us very different lip-sync styles with Jewels doing more reveals and Onya giving us the emotion and choreography.
Ru made her decision and the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17 is… Onya Nurve! A very well deserved victory!

Now that the crown has found its home, I can't help but feel both excitement and nostalgia. I'm excited to see Miss Nurve carry on the legacy and change the world with her excellence. Yet I'm super sad to see such a good season come to an end. The good news is that we can all watch it again right now on Philo, Amazon Video and Apple TV.
