I Want These 10/10 Skyrim Quests to Be Turned Into a TV Show

Skyrim needs the treatment The Last of Us got. Here's why.

While we've been blessed with The Last of Us, Fallout, Arcane and other game adaptations, Skyrim is a game that deserves to be the next hit.

If I had to pick the perfect Skyrim quests to adapt, the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood would be at the top of my list. Both have some of the most shocking twists in the game. Both are filled with memorable, charismatic, and morally ambiguous characters.

The Thieves Guild Has a Potential to Become a Buddy-Comedy

I can see the Thieves Guild becoming a story of redemption with likable main characters and lots of comedy. I would love for Dragonborn to spend some time bonding with the crew and making them one big happy family (well, except for Mercer Frey, of course).

If I'm being bold enough, after the main quest line is over I could see them going into full-on comedy territory (the very weird and campy kind). For example, what if they did something like What We Do in the Shadows?

Brynjolf and Dovahkiin could be a comedic duo of the show, with Brynjolf constantly making fun of our main character. And bonus: a potential “unexpected heroes” storyline, anyone?

The Dark Brotherhood Needs to Be a Dark Medieval Story

The Dark Brotherhood definitely needs a darker tone. I want to see more reasons why the Dragonborn killed Grelod besides it being “the right thing to do” or having a contract on her. Overall, I'm curious to see how this scene can be handled in a TV format. Personally I would love for it to be as brutal as they can get considering what story's coming next.

I would argue that this quest has even more memorable characters than the Thieves Guild. The whole cast is the definition of suspiciously fascinating. But I'm most excited to see Astrid, Cicero and their conflict.

Why Skyrim Is Perfect for TV-Series Format

Beyond these two quests, I just think Skyrim is the perfect game to adapt. Considering how beautiful it is, its cinematic potential is endless.

But what really sets Skyrim apart is its flexibility. Showrunners could have unprecedented creative freedom with the Dragonborn. They could take the character in any direction they choose. It's (almost) a blank canvas.

The only concern I have is that they can drastically change the main events. I'm not against adding the little details that would make the world and interactions more realistic, but I don't want to see any major changes to the main plot of the quests.
