Is Miles Morales the hero we've been waiting for?

Who would have thought that movies about Spider-Man's villains could work without Spider-Man? Well, Sony proved it was possible with Venom and its sequel and, questionably, Morbius.

Sony's Universe will soon be expanded with Kraven the Hunter, Madame Web, and El Muerto.

But will there be a way for these characters to cross over without Spider-Man? Probably, yes. But Spider-Man is an asset that is very unlikely to be thrown out by Sony.

While there were lots of speculations about Andrew Garfield becoming the main Spider-Man in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, or an entirely new version of Peter Parker, Reddit fans shared their thoughts on Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man for Sony.

Miles Morales made his comic-book debut in 2011. A teenager with African-American and Puerto Rican heritage, becomes the new Spider-Man after Peter Parker's demise in the Ultimate Marvel universe.

Miles Morales has become a popular and beloved character in recent years. There are many reasons for it, but the main one is probably the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

His next significant boost of popularity was the release of the critically acclaimed video game Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PlayStation consoles in 2020.

Fans think that Miles Morales is a great option for Sony to incorporate in future movies.

We've already seen three big-screen versions of Peter Parker in the last two decades. One more Parker would be way too many.

If Sony takes Miles Morales, there will be less confusion, as Tom Holland 's Spider-Man will continue to exist in the MCU while Miles will be Sony's Spider-Man.

However, there is a tricky part. The details of the agreement between Disney and Sony on Spider-Man were never disclosed, so it's not clear if Sony is unable to use any Spider-Man while he is in the MCU, or just Peter Parker.

However, some fans point out that the demise of Peter Parker is an important chapter on Miles Morales' way of becoming a hero, so without Parker's death, Miles' Spider-Man wouldn't work.
