Were fans right in their predictions?
Warning: the following article contains spoilers for 'Ms. Marvel' episode 6
Throughout the entire first season of 'Ms. Marvel', fans have been hyped up to see Kamala Khan's idol, Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, alongside her. Well, this dream has kind of come true in the post-credit scene of the sixth episode, but with a twist.
In the post-credits, Kamala is seen lying on her bed when suddenly something in her bangle seems to bother her. The bangle is shining, and as soon as Kamala shakes her hand, she is suddenly teleported into one of her room's doors. The door is broken, and Kamala is seemingly gone, but Captain Marvel appears in the doorway instead.
Carol looks absolutely confused when she picks up a piece of Kamala's posters of Captain Marvel, so it would seem that the sudden switch was even more of a surprise to her than it was to Kamala. Danvers, who is notably rocking a new suit and a new hairstyle, is even more shocked to see the entire room covered with the Avengers posters.
So yes, Captain Marvel definitely made her long-anticipated appearance in the finale, but it seems to only complicate things even further. The cliffhanger leaves us with no clue about Kamala's current whereabouts, and Carol will presumably have to do some explaining to Kamala's parents who, we suspect, will be worried sick about her… once again.
The credits did reassure us that Ms. Marvel is going to return in the upcoming movie 'The Marvels', so perhaps we will have to wait for the film to come out in 2023 to get all the answers.
'Ms. Marvel' season finale is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
