There are several theories circulating online.

The popular sitcom Rick and Morty has returned to screens with a new season. The premiere of the first episode of Season 8 took place on May 26. Viewers once again saw their favorite characters, who, it seems, never change year after year.

And yet one of the central characters is already a man of considerable age. Back in Season 4, there was mention that Rick is 70 years old. That would make him at least 74 by the current events. Although, in the show's universe, it’s quite possible that none of the Smith family members actually age.

At the same time, there are suggestions online that Rick might actually be somewhat younger.

"They never actually say how old he is. Everyone who says he’s 70 is just remembering that the president in one episode called him a '70-year-old.' But I thought that was just an insult, like he was calling him old. Rick is probably no older than 60 — he knows way too much about pop culture for that," "You have to consider the age of his daughter — she’s 34. And she was born when he was 21, which would make him 55 now," — users write on Reddit.

Some even suggest that Rick may be over a hundred years old, but advanced science allows him to avoid aging on the outside. Morty, on the other hand, has had his age mentioned a few times in the show: he’s stuck in a teenage phase of around 14–15 years old and hasn’t aged yet.
