James D'Arcy Teases Young Jarvis' Return To MCU
'Agent Carter' and 'Avengers: Endgame' star hints on his Edwin Jarvis returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Howard Stark's trusted butler first appeared in the 'Agent Carter', where he quickly became a fan favorite. With ABC's Marvel deal canceled, his character seemed to disappear, only to be surprisingly revived for the cameo in 'Avengers: Endgame'. This was the first time an actor from Marvel pre-Disney+ TV shows made an appearance in MCU film franchise.
Speaking to Digital Spy, James D'Arcy hinted on his possible appearance in the future Marvel films. It seems that the fact that his character comes from the 1970s makes it really easy for Disney executives – he could easily appear in any flashback without breaking Marvel's carefully constructed continuity.
"As I've said before, the Marvel universe is a funny old place. Nobody is ever dead. And now they're into the [multiverse]"
Sounds like a hint to you? Or maybe the actor is jokingly teasing Marvel for their inability to let go of popular characters? Only time will tell.
