James Gunn Reveals the Truth About the 'Teen Titans' Script — And I’m Honestly Disappointed

Turns out what we thought was coming… never really began at all.
If you, like me, were quietly hyped about the Teen Titans finally getting their big DCU moment… well, brace yourself. Because James Gunn just dropped a cold truth bomb:
The script doesn’t exist.
Gunn revealed the update in a response to fans on Threads, after news broke that Ana Nogueira would be writing the DCU’s Wonder Woman. Turns out, she was pulled onto that project before finishing Teen Titans — and Gunn says he hasn’t even read a draft.
He clarified that while she started working on it, she shifted focus to Diana pretty early on. So right now, Teen Titans is little more than an idea on pause.

It’s frustrating, because Teen Titans isn’t some obscure team — they’re a cornerstone of DC's younger fanbase. We had the right setup: Damian Wayne in Brave and the Bold, Nightwing rumours, even Blue Beetle still hanging around.
This could’ve been DC’s answer to Young Avengers, but now it feels like another missed opportunity.
The momentum was there, the characters were lined up, and the fans were ready. It’s hard not to feel like the team is being sidelined yet again — just when they were finally within reach.
