After delivering some spooky vibes on Netflix, who wouldn't want to join the MCU?

It looks like Daredevil: Born Again is on a mission to become one of the best shows in the MCU. At least that's what fans have concluded after a new casting rumour surfaced.

According to a report by Giant Freaking Robot, Jenna Ortega, who is soon to hit screens as Netflix 's Wednesday, is currently in negotiations with Marvel to join Daredevil as White Tiger.

For those uninitiated in the world of Daredevil-related MCU characters, White Tiger, aka Angela Del Toro, is an FBI agent who uses the identity of the White Tiger after inheriting the amulets that gave her powers from her uncle Hector, who was once the White Tiger himself.

Realising that she is now a superhero, she turns to the recently outed Daredevil, Matt Murdock, for help. He becomes her mentor and someone to guide her through her superhero journey.

The outlet suggests that Ortega will be playing this very character. Neither Marvel Studios nor Ortega himself have confirmed the talks, but has that ever stopped fans from getting preemptively excited?

With the MCU already securing Zendaya as MJ and Hailee Steinfield as Kate Bishop, fans believe there could be no better addition than Jenna Ortega.

Although the rumours have yet to be confirmed, people are saying they will be "so happy" if Ortega's casting is true. However, there are those who disagree.

Some other fans have also raised concerns about Jenna's young age, but it's unclear whether the MCU will stick strictly to the comics or create its own version of the character. If the latter option is taken, the White Tiger will probably be adapted to suit Ortega's age and abilities.

Others have noted that it's particularly pleasing to see a character portrayed by an actress of the appropriate racial background, and have praised Marvel for its efforts at representation.

Although the casting news has yet to be officially confirmed, there is plenty of time for things to become clearer, as Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere in 2024.
