Turns out that Sheldon Cooper wasn’t the only one to be starstruck.

Summary:

  • Over the course of the years of its run, The Big Bang Theory featured a huge amount of guest stars many of whom were legendary already back then — and one particular celebrity made Jim Parsons feel a lot different on set.
  • The actor once revealed that working with one legendary actor that he had personally admired made him feel like he needed therapy after filming.
  • The episode also featured one more superstar that Parsons admitted was truly adorable.

The Big Bang Theory owes its immense popularity not only to the talented cast and the compelling storyline revolving around four geek friends that have to navigate through life using their gifted minds, but also to the impressive list of guest stars that ever appeared in there.

And though Sheldon Cooper, portrayed by Jim Parsons, could’ve seemed to be extremely calm while sharing the screen with the biggest stars, the actor himself was pretty much affected by these situations.

Throughout the whole run of 12 seasons, the show’s main cast got to work with the pop culture and science’s legendary figures like Stan Lee, Stephen Hawking, Charlie Sheen, Bob Newhart and many others — but one movie star in particular made Jim Parsons forget how to breathe normally for some time.

As he revealed, sharing the screen with Star Wars ’ legendary actor James Earl Jones got him a weird feeling.

Parsons himself was a huge fan of Jones’ artistic career and for a long time considered the latter a role model hoping to reach such a level one day.

The episode starring James Earl Jones as well probably came as a surprise for The Big Bang Theory’s actor, but in a different way — their common scenes would show the characters wearing only towels in a steam room and it probably became one of the reasons for Parsons’ little panic attack.

The actor then admitted that he’d felt like he’d been in need of a therapy session as he was feeling “psychotic” over the fact that he’d gone shirtless with legendary James Earl Jones.

The whole episode turned out to be Sheldon Cooper’s dream coming true as it featured two of Star Wars’ biggest stars — except for James Earl Jones, Carrie Fisher also made her appearance there.

Talking about the whole situation that happened to him on set, Jim Parsons paid a sweet tribute to his one-episode colleague saying that she was adorable and in fact tiny.
