Johnny Depp and Marilyn Manson’s friendship has always been well-known in Hollywood — but I only recently learned they’ve taken it to another level with matching tattoos.
Wrist Tattoos
They decided to mark their bond in ink with the words 'no reason' tattooed on their inner wrists. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Manson explained there’s no deep meaning — when people ask why, the answer is simply, "no reason." It feels perfectly in character for their offbeat, irreverent style.
A Larger Back Piece
They also share a much larger tattoo on their backs: a skeleton design with the inscription 'Charles Baudelaire, the flowers of evil, this giant skeleton thing.' The phrase nods to the French poet’s famous collection Les Fleurs du mal. Manson mentioned the tattoo in the same interview but never fully explained its significance, keeping it part of their private friendship lore.
