Bridgerton, the popular period series set in Regency-era London, has captured the hearts of millions of viewers with its steamy romance, fabulous costumes, and compelling storylines.

But while everything may look perfect to the audience, the actors have actually had to navigate their way through some uncomfortable moments while filming certain scenes.

And as it turns out, the show's leading male actor, Jonathan Bailey, is no exception (spoiler alert: there's a thong involved). Anyone who has seen the hit Netflix series knows that the showrunners are not ones to shy away from risqué scenes.

With that comes a responsibility to make the actors feel as comfortable as possible by choreographing everything ahead of time and providing them with protective modesty garments to cover their private parts.

However, it turns out that taking all these measures doesn't always guarantee that the actors will be fully comfortable during filming.

In fact, the show's star Jonathan Bailey, who portrays the charismatic former rake Anthony Bridgerton, recently opened up about filming a particularly awkward moment that left him feeling downright traumatized.

As you know, Bailey was the male counterpart of the season's leading couple, which means he had his fair share of steamy scenes.

Bailey explained in a Los Angeles Times interview that during the shoot of a scene where he had to sit in a bathtub, the camera was placed in the middle of his legs in the water, staring right back at him, which made him feel self-aware.

"It was almost like a water birth. And I remember afterwards, I was so appalled at myself over the day that we had experienced and so confused, because you can't really explain it to anyone," he recalled.

The story, however, doesn't end there. That same night, after the filming wrapped up, Bailey rushed to a pub to meet his friends for a beer.

But the moment he stood up to order another round of drinks, he felt a chafing sensation, and it suddenly dawned on him that he was still wearing the thong.

Apparently, the experience had been so traumatizing that he had left the set so quickly that he forgot to take off the little pouch. The actor also disclosed that he still has the garment, or shall we say, a memento, in his possession to this day.

Camera angles are undoubtedly essential when it comes to creating the right mood for intimate scenes and ensuring they look realistic.

But no matter how many steps have been taken to make sure the actors are feeling comfortable throughout the filming process, there can still be scenes that are challenging to execute.
