'Jujutsu Kaisen' Season 3 Episode 6: New Player Hajime Kashimo & Kirara's Technique, Explained
The emergence of a new player raises the stakes and signals the start of an uncontrolled, chaotic phase of the Culling Game.
The sixth episode of the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen once again delivered spectacular action, and also deepened the mythology of the Culling Game, introducing a new threat and a new rule that changes the balance of power.
We will explore what happened in the new episode, how one of the most intricate techniques in the title works, and the identity of the mysterious player who appeared in the finale.
What Was 'Jujutsu Kaisen' Season 3 Episode 6 About?

The episode spanned several chapters of the manga and divided its screen time between two main events. The first was the ongoing battle between Yuji and Hakari.
In order to earn the trust of the powerful sorcerer and potential ally, Itadori willingly became a punching bag. This demonstrated not only his phenomenal resilience, but also his philosophy: he embraces his role as a "tool" in the fight against curses.
The second main focus of the episode was Megumi and Panda's battle with a new opponent, Kirara. This battle showcased the complex mechanics of cursed techniques and Megumi's tactical genius – he had to fight and decipher his opponent's ability principles in real time.
How Does Kirara's Technique Work?
Kirara's technique is one of the most complex in the series. It is based on astronomy, specifically the Crux constellation. It involves applying special marks to opponents or objects corresponding to the five main stars of this constellation: Imai, Acrux, Mimosa, Gacrux, and Ginan.
These marks form an invisible chain that determines the order in which marked objects can approach each other, from the farthest "star" to the closest. An opponent cannot attack Kirara directly if another marked "star" is between them in the chain.
Complicating matters further, marks with the same name (e.g., multiple objects marked Acrux) are attracted to each other, moving toward the object with the highest concentration of cursed energy.
Megumi used this property against Kirara – he redirected the energy into his body, causing one of his shikigami marked Acrux to be drawn to Kirara, who, in the heat of battle, also changed her mark to Acrux.
Who Is Hajime Kashimo & What Is the New Rule in the Culling Game?

At the end of the episode, viewers were introduced to the ninth and final rule of the Culling Game. Now, all participants are revealed information about each player, including their names, points, number of rules added, and current colony.
This marks the end of secrecy and the beginning of an all-out hunt. The author of this rule is Hajime Kashimo, a powerful sorcerer who lived 400 years ago. Kenjaku resurrected his spirit and infused it into a young human body.
Presented as a formidable new antagonist, Kashimo is driven by his obsession with battle, and his ultimate goal is to defeat Sukuna himself.
