Just One Clove of Garlic: The Simple Dressing That Makes Potatoes Taste Like a 5-Star Meal
The simplest side dish will turn into something you and your family will finish first.
Potatoes have long been one of the most common garnishes for family dinners, though sometimes these can become something you’re already sick and tired of.
However, some recipes look like a promise to turn usual potatoes into an haute-cuisine dish that tastes better than in any fine restaurant. Accompanied by delicious bacon and fresh herbs and spices, this garnish will stay in your heart — and on your dinner table — forever.
Ingredients: 700–800 g of potatoes, 30–40 g of butter, 100 g of bacon, 1–2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika, salt and black pepper to taste, a bunch of fresh herbs (dill or parsley).
Peel the potatoes, boil them in salted water until tender, and drain them completely. Put the pot back on the lowest heat, add the butter, and let it melt, lightly coating the potatoes.
While the potatoes are cooking, fry the chopped bacon in a skillet until golden brown. At the end, add finely chopped garlic and smoked paprika — just for half a minute to release the aroma.
Immediately pour the hot mixture into the pot with the potatoes, season with salt, add finely chopped herbs, and gently toss to combine.
