The fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise better not involve anyone else aside from the web-slinger, or else it seems people are going to riot.

Despite Marvel's multiverse endeavors, Spider-Man fans really want his fourth movie to be focused solely on him, uninterrupted by cameos, Easter eggs or team-ups of any kind.

As theories emerge suggesting that Spider-Man 4 could be a "direct sequel" for Daredevil: Born Again, fans have risen to argue that now is the perfect time for Peter Parker to focus on himself. The point his story is at the moment just asks for it, they say.

"[I] really hope spider-man 4 is just about peter parker. [L]et him grieve the life he once had while battling the symbiote. [N]o multiverse. [N]o cameos. [J]ust a simple peter parker story," geek influencer Matt Ramos tweeted.

Another fan argued that keeping Spider-Man alone would be a "perfect way to introduce an edgy, emotional [P]eter [P]arker to a dying film series, the spider-man films are really the only thing keeping the mcu looking bright."

People seem to be craving some kind of a new vibe for the Spider-Man movies, and the fourth installment could be a perfect chance to fulfill their desires.

"And it shouldn't have the same energy or director as the Home trilogy this should feel completely different. Peter is all alone & in a new environment he shouldn't feel like he did in back in let's say Homecoming or FFH." – @rickniks3

Daredevil is perhaps the only character people seem to be relatively okay with appearing, because a lot of fans appeared to love their dynamics teased in No Way Home. However, it looks like Peter has had just enough of multiverse for now, and getting back to the street level would be perfect for his character development.

The fourth movie itself, however, remains to be officially confirmed. Tom Holland has officially finished his contract with Marvel and even announced that he was going to take a break from acting at some point. However, when it comes to Spider-Man, the actor made it clear that he would be back "in a heartbeat" if Marvel needed him.
