K-Drama Fans Found a Perfect Replacement for All of Us Are Dead, and You Can Stream It on Amazon Prime

There are a lot of K-dramas that have captured the attention of viewers around the world, but only a few of them have managed to become worldwide successes. One of the most popular gems is 2022 All of Us Are Dead, not the first zombie K-drama, but definitely the one with a fresh take on the genre with engaging characters and non-stop action.
While season 2 of the popular Netflix show has yet to be released, fans of the series decided it was time to dive into something else with a similar core story. Finding something to fill the void left by All of Us Are Dead was not easy, but the new K-drama Newtopia, while different, still manages to capture some of the same vibe that fans miss from the zombie series.
What Is Newtopia About?
Newtopia is a romantic comedy with a zombie twist. It follows Jisoo's Kang Young-ju and Park Jeong-min's Lee Jae-yoon as they face the challenges of a zombie apocalypse while trying to get back together.
The first episode starts off like a typical rom-com, showing the struggles of a long-distance relationship during Jae-yoon's military service. It's not until the end of episode 1 that the show reveals its true nature as a zombie K-drama, doing a hilarious spin on the zombie apocalypse genre.
Although Newtopia is primarily a comedy, it treats the zombie outbreak seriously enough that we still care about the characters' safety and their reunion. This is somewhat reminiscent of All of Us Are Dead season 1, which mixed romance with action and horror.
While Newtopia doesn't take itself as seriously as All of Us Are Dead, its characters still face life-or-death situations that are both funny and frightening.
