Despite quite a limited screen time, she’s a major game player — and needs to prove it.

Taylor Sheridan ’s Paramount+ drama show Landman was quick to become one the streaming’s biggest hits which is already a solid reason for at least one more season, but some things in there just cry out for big changes that need to be done in new episodes.

Ever since the show’s first half of the first season aired, many fans have been vocal about some characters’ senseless arcs, with one of them being the storyline of Cami Miller who in the show is portrayed by Demi Moore.

Now that the series has some time to reflect on its viewers’ criticism before the second season’s announcement comes in, there’s a chance that Landman will finally do justice to Cami who, after some certain events in the industry, has more reasons to show up there.

Though the character has been rarely seen or heard throughout the entire season, in the finale Cami makes a decision which will surely have its own repercussions in the next episodes. After the tragedy that occurs in her family, Cami decides to invest all of her husband’s money into M-Tex, though Tommy considers it a bad idea.

Despite that, Cami sticks to the thought that Monty would want his money to be used for something good, which is why she has no hesitation in it, even keeping in mind that she still has a family to provide for. Landman’s second season will show whether Cami’s decision was for better or for worse.

Before signing up for a role in Landman, the actress was already a big star, though most of her best roles happened back in the 1990s. Things changed when in 2024 Moore starred in Coralie Fargeat’s hit body horror The Substance — the movie brought Moore a Golden Globe, her first ever serious acting award, and now there’s little time left to finally see if the actress will get an Oscar for the role too.

Since Landman doesn’t really feature big names (except for its lead Billy Bob Thornton, probably), giving Moore more screen time as Cami is the easiest way for the show to garner even more success with critics and the audience.
