Yes, it might be creepy to watch. Yes, it is still the perfect casting.

Hear us out before protesting: Anthony Starr for the role of Marvel Cinematic Universe's Sentry in Thunderbolts.

Now that we have your attention, you might also want to know about the most recent Marvel rumor that is currently making waves in the fandom. According to MCU scooper CanWeGetToast, the upcoming Thunderbolts movie will have Sentry as its main villain — the superhuman who possesses "the power of a thousands suns".

Even though the rumor is yet to be officially confirmed, fans have immediately rushed to fancast Sentry — and it looks like Anthony Starr from The Boys is one of the most popular choices.

No matter what you think of the narcissist superhero from Amazon's audacious show, Starr does look the part, and definitely can act. Besides, it would be interesting to see him portraying a character who is not as controversial and borderline despicable as Homelander.

Starr is no stranger to depicting enhanced individuals who possess powers that are extraordinary even for superheroes. However, if Sentry indeed is the main villain in Thunderbolts, fans fear that Starr — or anyone else who ends up being cast for the role — won't have to play an overly powered villain. In the comics, Sentry is almost omnipotent, but in order for him to be a fair rival for the Thunderbolts team, his powers will definitely have to be scaled down.

Love & Thunder Turned Waititi Into Marvel Fandom's Favorite Punching Bag

If it doesn't happen, then Thunderbolts are "so dead" from the beginning, because in its current line-up, the team can hardly do anything against someone who boasts the power of a thousand suns.

Still, Marvel is yet to confirm plot details of Thunderbolts, the name of the main villain in particular. The movie is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
