The first trailer for season 2 of Loki's multiverse misadventures feels drastically different from Marvel's previous TV failure.

As the MCU 's latest TV series, Secret Invasion, came to a close last week, it became clear that the show's finale failed to provide any sort of redemption.

Despite a promising concept, strong source material and a stellar cast, Secret Invasion turned out to be utterly bland and uninspiring, much to the chagrin of critics and fans alike.

After such a disappointing result, Marvel desperately needs to improve their reputation, and it seems that their next TV project could be just the thing to do that.

Many fans considered the first season of Loki to be the best of all the Marvel TV shows to date, and judging by the highly anticipated trailer for season 2, it seems to be keeping up the quality.

Perhaps the best thing about the trailer is that it doesn't shy away from being weird, just like season 1 did, in stark contrast to the deadly serious Secret Invasion.

And considering the failure of Marvel's spy thriller series, this is probably for the best.

Fans also seem to be excited about season two, saying that they could have watched Loki and Mobius' adventures for at least ten seasons without them being heavily tied to the larger MCU events.

Some even point out that such a procedural format could have even worked for the show, with the two just solving timeline crimes.

Ke Huy Quan's OB is also a welcome addition to the show's cast, as fans find him absolutely adorable and hope that he will play a significant role in the story.

Another interesting thing that can be pointed out in the trailer is that the creators didn't cut Jonathan Majors ' character out of the story, as at least one of Kang's variants, Victor Timely, makes an appearance in the trailer.

This may indicate that despite the recent controversy, the actor will remain a big part of the MCU for some time to come.

Loki season 2 is scheduled to be released on October 6, 2023.

Are you excited about Loki season 2, or did the "Marvel fatigue" hit you too?
