The absence of Sam Winchester in the Supernatural prequel has been an issue for many fans, some of whom even suggested that there is bad blood between Jared Padalecki and The Winchesters' creators.

Those who have been worried about Jared Padalecki being at odds with the prequel crew over not being a part of the show might want to relax. It seems that Padalecki is actively helping The Winchesters ' team and remains friends with everyone.

At least that's what Drake Rodger, the actor behind young John Winchester, has revealed about his on-screen future son on social media.

According to him, Padalecki is "a buddy", who has proven himself to be an "open resource" when any help is needed with the Supernatural universe.

In his stories, Rodger said that "Jared has been incredibly kind and helpful along this journey." "I'm beyond grateful for his friendship," Rodger added.

He also shared a video of himself calling Padalecki.

Earlier, Jared's absence from the prequel has caused concerns among fans, especially in the wake of Padalecki's seemingly bitter reaction to The Winchesters announcement.

Ackles announced that the prequel is officially a thing by posting a link to the Deadline article that broke the news. Back at the time, Padalecki responded to it with a congratulatory tweet, adding that he wished he knew about this from Jensen personally, and not via Twitter.

However, the Sam Winchester actor later said that there is no bad blood between him and Jensen, assuring that he is happy for Ackles and the Supernatural prequel. It is still unclear whether Padalecki might appear in The Winchesters after all.
