Love and Terror Collide: New Trailer for 'Together' Unveils Sinister Twist

Dark body horror romance starring Franco and Brie.
Dave Franco and Alison Brie confront something far darker than typical relationship struggles in the newly released trailer for Together.
Set against a serene piano melody, the footage contrasts sharply with the unsettling events unfolding onscreen. The body horror romance follows the couple as they are tested by a mysterious, unnatural force, plunging them into a terrifying nightmare.
In the trailer’s poignant final moments, a weary Franco’s character Tim whispers:
"I love you" to which a tearful Brie’s Millie replies, "I love you too."
The film’s official logline reveals the premise:
"Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie move to the country, leaving behind all that’s familiar except each other. With tensions mounting, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their very flesh."
Written and directed by Michael Shanks, Together also stars Damon Herriman. Producers include Brie, Franco, Mike Cowap, Andrew Mittman, Erik Feig, Julia Hammer, Tim Headington, and Max Silva.
After premiering at Sundance earlier this year, The Hollywood Reporter’s chief critic David Rooney noted that while Shanks "could stand to develop more finesse and better writing in the emotional drama," the film’s "heap of corporeal mayhem" marks him as a talent to watch. Rooney called it "an ideal midnight date movie for the non-squeamish."
Neon’s Together is set to hit theaters on August 1.
