It looks like Taika Waititi is getting ready to tackle some pretty dark issues in his upcoming 'Thor: Love and Thunder' movie.

Fans recently learned the horrifying news that Jane Foster (Natalie Portman ), who will be MCU 's The Mighty Thor, is suffering from cancer.

Marvel aficionados found out about her diagnosis thanks to a toy company advertising "Mighty Thor's Helmet" with some pretty revealing information about the character.

"Suffering from cancer, astrophysicist and Thor's ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster, visited New Asgard and her life was changed forever," reads official description from Hero Collector.

Many fans were shocked to hear the news that this beloved character was suffering from such a serious illness. However, many were happy about it! But not for the reasons you might think. Fans are excited that one of the most important Jane Foster storylines from the comics will finally appear in the MCU.

It will be interesting to see to what extent Waititi will stick to the original story, but he will certainly treat this serious subject with respect.
