You’ve seen him in Thunderbolts — and you will see him in at least one upcoming Avengers movie.

One of the most successful superhero franchises of all time, Marvel is all about marvelous unusual abilities, though they still seem to be pretty limited.

As many fans of superhero movies could already notice, Marvel’s characters usually boast of just one specific superpower they’re extremely good at, all the while still being able to possess some more power which they yet have to learn to handle.

Only several characters in Marvel’s universe can make an exception though, and the studio’s strongest superhero might turn out to be someone completely new to those who haven’t watched Thunderbolts yet.

Sentry Is Believed to Be Marvel’s Most Powerful Avenger

Even though he was nowhere to be found in previous Avengers movies, Sentry aka Robert "Bob" Reynolds aka The Void joins the New Avengers, and currently, he is in fact the strongest one.

Unlike many other prominent characters in the MCU, Sentry possesses several superpowers at a time, which include superhuman strength, speed, flight, invulnerability and energy manipulation.

Apart from that, he also has unique abilities like the power to see people's deepest fears, teleportation and a potent healing factor.

The problem with Sentry is that his superpowers mostly depend on his unstable mental health, in some cases leading to the character taking on the identity of The Void – a dark, destructive entity with a potential to consume the entire universe.

Sentry Debuts in ‘Thunderbolts’ and Will Also Appear in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Portrayed by Lewis Pullman, Sentry has made his way to Marvel’s cinematic universe only now, being introduced in the studio’s recent release, Thunderbolts. There, he quickly turned into a supervillain, but quickly got a redemption arc.

The character is also set to appear in Avengers movies like Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, though Pullman’s involvement in the latter hasn’t been confirmed yet.

“Look, you know the character that we’re talking about, and you know that there’s a level of power involved there that could have an impact going forward. I'm not making Doomsday so I'm not privy to that”, Thunderbolts’ director Jake Schreier said about Sentry’s appearance in the upcoming Avengers movie, hinting at the character’s immense power that will have its toll on the team.
