Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar-promised thriller isn’t having the best time in theatres right now, but One Battle After Another might gain more success after arriving on streaming.
The awards season in Hollywood is getting closer while more movies are having more chances to compete for the prestigious awards, with Paul Thomas Anderson’s new movie joining the race.
The Academy, as well as other major awards, is yet to announce the next year’s contenders, but Anderson’s One Battle After Another starring Leonardo DiCaprio has already been hailed by critics as that one movie which is definitely getting at least one Oscar statuette.
Boasting of an impressive leading cast that includes Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn, One Battle After Another was released in theatres worldwide on September 26 and since then had a major downgrade in its box office results.
Regardless, the movie is still projected to bring some profit and gain even more as soon as it premieres on streaming.

The official date for One Battle After Another's arrival on streaming was announced just days ago, with the movie expected to be released on VOD on November 20.
As for streaming platforms like HBO Max or Prime Video, the movie is unlikely to be released there until at least mid-December, judging by Warner Bros.’ schedule for past premieres.
At the time, One Battle After Another has grossed around $191 million worldwide against its $130 million budget, with more profit projected to arrive from streaming ratings.

Considering that the director spent nearly twenty years developing the movie’s script, it’s no wonder Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another keeps getting so many accolades for its story which is just as relevant as it can be.
