After that season one ending, it was unlikely that MobLand was going to leave us hanging, but the official renewal confirmation still has fans relieved.

Paramount has renewed its hit crime drama MobLand for season 2, so expect more Tom Hardy-led gangster action (if his character survives, of course).

The highly successful series has spent at least six weeks on the Nielsen Top 10 Original Series chart and broke several records for Paramount+. According to the streaming service, the show has attracted 26 million viewers since its debut in March.

On Rotten Tomatoes, MobLand has 75% and 78% by critics and viewers respectively, and on IMDb, it is rated 8.5/10.

Starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Paddy Considine among others, MobLand revolves around the bloody war between the Stevensons and the Harrigans, the two rivaling crime families in London. Hardy portrays Harry Da Souza, a loyal fixer for the Harrigans with mysterious past and unclear motives.

How Did 'MobLand' Season 1 End?

In the tenth and final episode of season 1, the head of the Stevenson family, Richie, is killed; the powerful and mysterious Kat McCallister demands that Harry betray the Harrigans and join forces with her (which he rejects); and Harry's wife, Jan, accidentally stabs him with a kitchen knife.

It is unclear if Harry will survive the stab, but fans believe that there is no reason for MobLand to kill Tom Hardy's character off. Now that the series has been renewed for a second season, it seems only logical for Harry to survive for at least the first episodes of the upcoming sequel.
