After what Homelander's done, how can we still love him?

Homelander is a real menace. While being the most powerful man alive, he is a psychologically unstable person who is constantly feeling a need to be loved. This combination makes him an absolute psycho.

Let's look back at the worst things this guy did throughout The Boys ' three seasons.

Letting people die during airplane crash

In the 4th episode of season 1, Homelander and Maeve are on the mission to save a plane hijacked by terrorists. Unfortunately, Homelander damages the control panel when he kills the last hijacker, and the plane goes crashing.

Maeve begged Homelander to do something to save the people onboard. But Homelander leaves every one of them, including little children, to die.

However, if the show stays realistic, it is really unlikely Homelander could have saved them, but the way how cold and indifferent he is in this scene is just a pure demonstration of who he really is.

Crushing a skull while having sex

When Homelander's relationship with Stormfront has reached a new level, this couple goes double insane.

In one of the scenes, they catch a thug in an alley. The poor dude first got his hand broken by Stormfront, and then his skull completely crushed by Homelander at the moment when he is having a hard-on for Stormfront.

Blind guy turned deaf

In the premiere episode of season 2, Ashley proudly introduces a new member of the Seven — Blindspot.

Homelander acts respectful and impressed, until he claps the blind superhero's ears. As the blood splatters from his ears, Blindspot screams in agony.

This was Homelander's sick way of showing Ashley that he is the one in charge, and he decides who joins the Seven and who doesn't.

Forcing a girl to jump off the building

In the 2nd episode of season 3, Homelander flies up the roof to save the suicidal girl named Chelsea.

But as soon as Homelander finds out about Stormfront's death, he no longer wants to save Chelsea, but instead he forces her to jump, threatening to laser her if she doesn't. And she eventually jumps. Another victim of Homelander's bad mood.
