Move Over, French Toast: This 10-Minute Egg and Bacon Toast Hack Is Your New Breakfast Obsession
The best start of the day that is both delicious and rich in protein.
When it comes to choosing something for breakfast, we usually think healthy versions will take a lot of time for cooking, so we’d rather grab something quick and, well, not so good for the body. However, this recipe for the most delicious egg and bacon toast can radically change your breakfast routine and make it better and tastier — especially since this toast can be prepared within minutes.
Ingredients: 6 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, 4 stalks of green onions, a small bunch of parsley, 3–4 tbsp of Greek yogurt, 1–2 tbsp of sweet chili or barbecue sauce, 0.3 tsp of curry powder, salt and black pepper to taste, 8 slices of toast.
Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and cook a fluffy omelet over low heat. Let it cool slightly, then cut it into small pieces. Cut the bacon into strips and fry until crispy. Place on a paper towel.
Finely chop the green onions and parsley. For the sauce, mix Greek yogurt with sweet chili sauce or barbecue sauce, then add curry powder and a little black pepper.
Combine the omelet, herbs, and some of the bacon, add the sauce, and gently mix.
Toast the bread in a toaster or in a dry skillet until golden brown. Top with the filling and sprinkle with the remaining bacon.
