NBC New Crime Show Is a Shockingly Low-Rated Arrival After Just 1 Episode
This isn't good news for the remaining 9 episodes.
NBC is home to many hit series like Law & Order, Chicago Fire, Brilliant Minds and others, but the company’s new show just kicked it off with a very non-promising critical score.
With its first episode released on January 19, a new procedural crime drama is now set to have a long-standing run of around 4 months till the last episode hits the screen on April 7. However, the show’s future might be a big question to answer in the upcoming months as it doesn’t seem to be an enjoyable watch even for the audiences.
The Hunting Party Just Debuted With 0% RT Score
Starring Tracker and Manifest’s actress Melissa Roxburgh, NBC’s new crime show follows former FBI profiler Bex who is tasked with sorting out the mess caused by an explosion in a secret prison, resulting in hundreds of serial killers being accidentally set free.
Embarking on her own investigation trying to uncover what exactly happened in the prison, Bex also has to confront her own complex past.
The Hunting Party has so far dropped only one episode from its first season, giving a sneak peek into what’s next in store, though it seems like there are only a few who might be left intrigued by the premise.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the new series has just landed a score of 0% from critics. It’s still likely to change though, since it’s only the start for the entire instalment and the rating is based solely on 7 reviews.
However, the audiences aren’t really engaged either, giving The Hunting Party quite an average score of 48% based on around 50 published ratings.
NBC Had (And Probably Still Has) High Hopes for The Hunting Party
However bad the new show’s first reviews might be, they’re still unlikely to bring NBC’s spirits down.
The company initially had a good feeling about The Hunting Party, seeing it as a promising new crime drama that NBC is actually famous for; the series even received a big boost after landing a time slot of 10 PM on Monday, right after the hit musical show The Voice.
Anyway, it’s still early to write The Hunting Party off NBC’s charts coming off solely 7 reviews. The series will be back on the screen with its second episode on February 10, and things still might change by that time.
