The WGA strike continues to affect the production of the show, so perhaps the creators should wait until it is over.

The situation surrounding the Star Wars: Andor TV series season 2 continues to deteriorate due to the Writers Guild of America strike.

Just recently, it was reported that the production of the season would continue without the writers, as the script was finished just two days before the strike went into effect.

While that would have created its own set of problems, the situation has just gotten worse.

After Tony Gilroy, the show's creator, announced that he would continue to perform non-writing duties on the set of the second season, he received a serious backlash from his fellow guild members.

They accused him of scabbing, since it is absolutely impossible for a writer or producer to completely stop writing while involved in the filming process.

Some even called for Gilroy to be kicked out of the WGA, so he had to comply and cease all production services for season 2, which has just been announced by The Hollywood Reporter.

All of this makes fans even more concerned about the final quality of Andor season 2, as without both the showrunner, who is the most important member of the crew, and the writers involved in the process, there could be some serious problems along the way.

Without the ability to make potentially crucial changes to the script, and without proper oversight, the filming process could easily descend into chaos.

And considering how good the first season was, it would be an absolute disaster if the second (and final) season suffered a massive drop in quality.

Some fans are even suggesting that it would have been wiser to just pause the process instead of plowing ahead with inferior writing, missing all the on-set rewrites, and risking so much along the way.

In any case, unless production is indeed halted, we will not see the results of such decisions until the release of Andor season 2, which is scheduled for August 2024.
