These errors may be small enough, but they do ruin the continuity of the show a bit.

As Yellowstone continues to air on Paramount Network, eagle-eyed fans are always there to spot little errors that one might have missed otherwise.

For instance, in the latest episode, a certain something briefly appears on screen even though the time period clearly rules out it even existing in the show's universe.

"Did I just see a CURRENT day Crown Royal bottle on that drink cart with young [John Dutton]?" Twitter user alyssabaroudi wondered.

Yellowstone takes place in 1923, but in episode 5, Kevin Costner's Dutton is a bit younger and is portrayed by Josh Lucas. Clearly, a Crown Royal bottle from 2022 has no place in the episode, even though it does channel some Back to the Future vibes.

But this wasn't even the only mistake fans spotted in the episode. It turns out that the actress who portrays Sarah Atwood has already appeared in the Yellowstone spinoff 1883, playing a whole different character — Claire Dutton.

However, with the show's official Twitter account itself confirming the weird casting, maybe it wasn't a mistake after all.

Developed by Paramount Network, Yellowstone is currently in the middle of its fifth season, which is set to consist of 14 episodes. After its premiere on November 13, Yellowstone has already marked record numbers, eclipsing 12 million live-plus-same day viewers — the highest figures the Western show has ever reached.
