Can’t get enough of the legendary actress and her creepy shenanigans? Wait for March.

Now, you have watched Babygirl and already want another Nicole Kidman movie? Well, I have great news for you, if you are a fan!

The new Prime movie is coming in a month that will save you from the agony of missing the actress.

The movie called Holland is coming to the platform on March 27, and judging from the trailer that Prime posted sooner it’s going to be quite a thrilling watch.

What Is Holland About?

Holland is an intriguing psychological thriller that promises to captivate audiences with its unpredictable plot. Directed by Mimi Cave and written by Andrew Sodroski, the movie introduces us to Nancy Vandergroot, played by Kidman, a seemingly perfect suburban woman who ends up discovering a disturbing secret about her idyllic small-town community.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Holland, Michigan, the film explores the duality of appearances and reality, capturing the dissonance between the town's quiet exterior and the sinister forces lurking beneath. The movie's suspense builds steadily, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats waiting for the next twist.

Joining Kidman in the film are Matthew Macfadyen, who plays her husband, and Gael García Bernal, who portrays a colleague who becomes suspicious of the town's mysteries. The cast is promising and fans of the actors can't wait to see them in the new movie.

“Just here to say Matthew Macfadyen can do no wrong. Seriously, I can't think of a single thing he was bad at, and everything I can think of him being in has had some merit, at least,” Redditor dogbolter4 said.

We’re Officially in the Era of Kidman-issance

Kidman's portrayal of Nancy is definitely a highlight of the movie. No stranger to playing creepy, sinister female leads, she brings a mix of intensity and subtle humor to the role, grounding her character in a sense of everyday reality that makes the unraveling of her world all the more compelling.

However, the news about the upcoming movie with Kidman in the main role started the wave of unstoppable jokes about it.

“People are always complaining there are no jobs for women over 40 in Hollywood. It's not because of misogyny. It's because Nicole Kidman has taken all of them. Please someone start a gofundme for Nicole so she can take a holiday and leave a part for someone else,” Redditor jadayne said.

There are also comments about the fact that Kidman has become typecast over the last decade, always playing some strange, often powerful women who end up having or revealing secrets.

“Why does it feel like Nicole Kidman has played the exact same character in her last 10 projects?” Redditor MaxRepels said.

My Take on Whatever Is Going on With Nicole Kidman

I remember my first Kidman movie, it was Kubrick’s legendary 1999 Eyes Wide Shut. And the only thought about her back then was “wow.” Her tandem with Tom Cruise is iconic, and the creepy sinister storyline suits her perfectly.

Although it gives me more pleasure to talk about her latest projects. For example, I think Big Little Lies is the beginning of her new era, the era of a slightly older creepy woman with definite mental health issues. Then comes The Undoing, the show that convinces you that there's something wrong with Kidman's character and that she's definitely a cold-blooded killer, only to justify her behavior at the very end.

Another brilliant turn in her career was Nine Perfect Strangers. Nobody around me liked the cringeworthy series about the all-powerful Masha who heals people, but for me, watching Kidman proudly wear the results of her many plastic surgeries on her face is a guilty pleasure of sorts. And I also like the dark plots where nothing visually strange happens. I hate horror, so psychological thrillers are my "let go" genre.

Following last year's The Perfect Couple and Babygirl, Kidman is the embodiment of everything other actresses are afraid to be on screen. She knows she will be perfect in all of these eerie roles and she goes for it.

So if you are a fan like me, mark your calendars to find out what kind of thriller they managed to create in the most peaceful Holland and if there is a chance that Tom Holland will be a part of it.
