‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ S2 Just Premiered, but Fans Already Found Someone to Hate

After a long pause, Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 finally premiered on Hulu on May 21. The series kicked off with a two-episode premiere and will release a new episode every Wednesday. But it seems that two episodes were enough to make fans form opinions about each new character, and let's just say they are all a handful.

Like always, all of the new strangers are deeply flawed and complex characters, handpicked by the titular character, Nicole Kidman’s Masha Dmitrichenko. As they started arriving at the place of the new retreat, we started analyzing them, knowing practically nothing about their true personalities.

So, when Agnes, who later appeared to be a former nun, and Brian, the former child show host, appeared on screen interacting with each other, some fans couldn’t understand where her rather fishy attitude was coming from. She seemed to be purposely making the guy’s life miserable.

“Why did the nun take the guy's luggage and then pretend she was gonna help him find the luggage? Yes he yelled at her but he immediately apologized and said he was sorry and has issues which is why he is there. She was so rude and I don't get why a nun would be such a b**ch for no reason,” Redditor ConfusionUsed2783 said.

Is There Really a Reason to Hate Agnes?

At first, when we didn’t know she was a nun, the old lady’s behavior really seemed odd. It felt like she knew she was making him suffer, even for something as small as losing a bag. But through her later interactions with the rest of the gang the theory was confirmed only partly.

Yes, the nun definitely has some anger issues, or more likely conflict resolving issues, and she clearly is not a fan of long talks. But she is not rude on purpose, it's just the way she is, and it makes her another perfect stranger to join the retreat.
