A true life-saver if you have no time thinking about the dessert part for the dinner table.

It might not be the apple season, but the apple strudel is a timeless classic that can turn any simple dinner into a true feast thanks to its simplicity and rich taste. Though the original recipe might be a bit more difficult to handle, the simplified version is a great hack for those craving for the famous dessert.

Another good news is that it takes no more than 20 minutes to get possibly the best strudel you’ve ever had, all the while using the simplest ingredients from the grocery store nearby.

Ingredients: 3 large sour apples, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs without salt or spices, 2 tablespoons nuts (preferably walnuts), 2–3 tablespoons of sugar, 75 g of butter, 1 sheet of thin unleavened lavash, powdered sugar for decorating.

Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices or small cubes. Sprinkle with cinnamon and half the sugar, then drizzle with lemon juice and mix.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the apples and caramelize them for about 2-3 minutes, then let the filling cool slightly.

Next, brush the lavash sheet with melted butter, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and chopped nuts. Place the apple filling on the edge of the lavash.

Carefully roll up the lavash, put it on a baking sheet, and bake for about 15 minutes in the oven at 180 °C.

Let the finished strudel cool slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and serve warm. If you like, you can serve it with a scoop of ice cream.
