Noah Schnapp Just Spoiled the Big Reveal of the 'Stranger Things' Finale: "He Is the Big, Bad Boss"
However, fans could have already guessed this plot twist from Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
Noah Schnapp, who plays Will on Stranger Things, appeared on Hot Ones Versus with other members of the main cast. During the show, he unwittingly revealed a key plot twist for the final season.
Noah Schnapp Spoiled a Vital Detail About Vecna

According to Schnapp, Vecna is actually an instrument of a more powerful entity: the Mind Flayer, who gave Henry his powers. Noah said:
“Vecna is introduced. He is the big, bad boss, who is run by the Mind Flayer. We get deeper into the lore.”
Since the Hot Ones Versus video was edited to remove Noah's comments about Vecna and the Mind Flayer, it's clear that the creators are banking on this plot twist.
This confirms one of the main fan theories developed in the prequel, the play Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
What Is 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' About?

The Duffer Brothers recommend watching the play Stranger Things: The First Shadow before the final season – this work changes our understanding of the main villain's origins.
The play's plot transports us back to the 1940s when secret US experiments on creating force fields resulted in Captain Brenner, Martin's father, being transported to the mysterious Dimension X.
In the 1950s, Martin Brenner continued these experiments in Nevada. During one such experiment, a Soviet spy stole the technology capable of opening portals and hid it in caves.
Eight-year-old Henry Creel, who lives nearby, discovers it there. After accidentally activating the device, Henry is transported to Dimension X for 12 hours. There, he is influenced by a shadow entity – the future Mind Flayer.
This encounter gives Henry psychokinetic abilities and access to the mental void, setting the stage for his transformation into Vecna.
The creators warn that key secrets of the play will be revealed in Season 5. It is already known that Max, having escaped Vecna's mental lair, is hiding in traumatic memories associated with the cave.
Holly also finds a spyglass among Henry's belongings, which may be the key to this place. Perhaps the cave is not only the source of Vecna's power but also a place where the characters can find a way to save Max and defeat evil.
'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Confirms That Henry and Vecna Are Two Different Entities
Henry was changed forever after returning from the cave. He became withdrawn and aggressive, forcing the Creel family to move to Hawkins in the fall of 1959.
At his new school, he befriended Patty Newby, who admired his abilities. Henry used his powers to create beautiful illusions for her and help her search for her mother.
However, the Mind Flayer relentlessly pushed him to kill Patty. At the crucial moment, Henry resisted, saving Patty's father's life. This act, however, led to his mother, Virginia, surrendering him to Dr. Brenner's lab.
There, Dr. Brenner instilled in him the idea that killing fueled his powers. When he returned home, he witnessed his own mother's hatred and contempt. Utterly broken, Henry succumbed to the will of the Mind Flayer, and cruelly dealt with Virginia and his sister, Alice.
