Noah Schnapp Says This 'Stranger Things' Poster Almost Gave Away a Huge Spoiler: "Very Intentional"
Attentive fans might have caught a glimpse of Will's fate just by looking at the poster.
Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp revealed something interesting about the marketing of the final season.
According to the actor, the official Season 5 poster, released before the premiere, contained a subtle hint about one of the key plotlines of the first part of the finale.
Noah Schnapp Reveals That the Season 5 Poster Almost Spoiled His Storyline

In an interview with Glamour, Noah Schnapp confirmed that fans could have guessed Will Byers' fate by looking at the season's poster. The actor said:
“It's always supposed to kind of feel the vibe of the season and give an essence of where everyone's characters stand in that era and chapter of our story. So yeah, you can see a strength in him on there.
And obviously, they didn't want to spoil it with any blood or anything, but as close as you can get. Everything is very intentional that we do.”
In the image, Will is positioned directly below Vecna's figure and his serious, collected demeanor contrasts sharply with the typical portrayal of a shy, insecure teenager. Once again, we are convinced that every detail in Stranger Things is important, even the smallest one.

Noah Schnapp Says Vecna Underestimates Will
In an interview with Deadline, Schnapp expanded on the topic of his character's transformation. He made it clear that Will's final arc is a story about the power of fear, and that Vecna underestimates Will and his journey:
“I think people mistake fear for weakness. Will has had a lot of fear through the years, because of what he's had to endure, but that doesn't mean he's weak. He's pushed through that and come out stronger, and he does it scared every time.
He always comes back, and he never crumbles. So that is his strength, and I think he shows that in the end, that he is stronger than we all think.”
In the final scene of the first Volume, Will uses his unexpected superpowers against the Demogorgons. This becomes a clear message to Vecna that the person he considered weak turned out to be a powerful opponent.
When Will 'Stranger Things' Season 5 Volume 2 & Volume 3 Be Released?
