At first, he doesn't take the advice seriously, but he soon realizes that something strange is happening on the island. Most of the inhabitants turn out to be zombies who serve an ancient deity, and the island itself is stuck in a time loop.

Werewolves Within is a hilarious horror movie that mixes humorous moments with brutal scenes of murder. By the end, it becomes a touching, humanistic story with a masterfully crafted detective plot.

Exit 8 was the first video game adaptation to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The movie is based on the indie game of the same name.
The objective is to locate eight anomalies within an endless subway passageway – once this is accomplished, the protagonist can escape. Since the game takes between 15 and 60 minutes to complete, choosing the indie hit for an adaptation initially seemed counterintuitive.
Genki Kawamura's movie follows the original's gameplay mechanics perfectly. The main character also gets stuck in the passageway. To escape, he must mark the anomalies – only then can he make his way from Exit 0 to Exit 8.
