Now that we know Jon Snow is to feature in his very own Game of Thrones spinoff, thoughts have naturally turned to which other characters might return alongside the fan favourite.

And while nothing has yet been confirmed in this regard, one actor who has refused to rule out a return is John Bradley who played Samwell Tarly.

Now, he hasn't exactly ruled himself in either, but it's fair to say he gave off some pretty positive vibes in a recent interview.

He told Digital Spy that he felt that most of the cast – at least the ones who made it to the end – felt they had "spent long enough" in Westeros and that they "felt sort of free of them in a way" after the series ended.

But he also said that they had all played their respective characters for so long and they may well want to "sort of check-in with them and see how they're getting on".

Asked more directly whether he would appear in the Jon Snow spinoff if asked, Bradley said he believes all of the cast are probably "having a bit of a break from that and exploring new areas" before adding "but in the future, who knows?"

So far, he said, he hasn't spoken to anyone about the upcoming Jon Snow prequel. But he did say "if somebody wants to send a script my way, I'd be interested to read it".

These words from Bradley certainly sound more positive than those of Emilia Clarke ( Daenerys Targaryen). She too admitted she was aware that there is a Jon Snow spinoff in the offing, but she was pretty quick to shut down any suggestion that she might be appearing.

So far, there is no definite news about the show other than the (quite important) fact that Kit Harrington will be reprising his role as the eponymous character. But the comments made by John Bradley suggest that he at least is interested in taking part.

And we know how these things work. With Harrington onboard and a few other key characters booked to make a return, the wheels could really start moving on this project and we might just see a few more familiar faces start to confirm their willingness to go back to Westeros- who knows, maybe Emilia Clarke will even be persuaded.
