It's the case of a good spinoff that creators need more than the audience.

If there is one word that the majority of viewers would use to describe season 3 of Ted Lasso, along with its highly anticipated finale, that word would be "disappointment".

And it would come right after "predictable", as the ending basically fulfilled every fan prophecy and was a little too much for everyone's taste.

With numerous outraged posts online and even more expressions of sadness for what was left of the original Ted Lasso in season 3, the show's creators don't seem to be rushing into new spinoffs.

Creating something else based on a failed season is a risky move that could potentially ruin the universe forever, or resurrect it and reignite the excitement the fandom once had.

Although series co-creator and actor Brendan Hunt has been adamant about letting things cool down and sitting with the idea of another series for a while, fans already have some ideas about what exactly they could do next.

Jason Sudeikis might want to start taking notes because this is exactly what people want to see.

While some fans think it would be great to have a sequel focusing on the AFC Richmond and following the lives of the team members and staff right after Ted Lasso's departure, others think the show would be more successful by focusing on something more specific.

After all, we've all seen how the number of characters in the original series led to distractions and confusion, so it might be wiser to avoid that in the first place.

Another idea that would help keep the plot more focused would be to make a sequel specifically based on the women's team.

With Shannon growing up to be the star of the team and Nate becoming their coach, the series could be an instant success. It would also fill a very specific niche that not many shows have tried to fill.

We'll have to wait and see if Ted Lasso gets any spin-offs. But if you missed the essence of the show's first few wholesome seasons, you can catch up by streaming Ted Lasso on Apple TV Plus.
