What a truly magical career start.

Sometimes we’re so used to seeing an actor in one particular role, that it’s truly hard to imagine them taking over any other character. Especially, in their younger years, when their looks weren’t matching the image fans have established in their minds.

That is also the case for Simon Helberg, most commonly known to the audience as The Big Bang Theory ’s Howard Wolowitz. Though many people are used to seeing the actor in the role of a slightly creepy scientist too dependent on his mother, there are many other, at times surprising, projects that Helberg has been working on since he started acting back in the early 2000s.

One of the iconic TV shows that you probably wouldn’t expect the comedian to ever appear on, is Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.

However, back in 2002, Simon Helberg actually did a couple of scenes for Sabrina as Spokesman in an episode titled Time After Time (S6E15). In an episode, Sabrina tries to help her aunt Zelda and erase her broken heart but ends up being erased and needing help herself. Though his appearance was very short, it’s still extremely entertaining to revisit.

Other roles of Helberg’s that The Big Bang Theory fans might’ve never known about include A Cinderella Story, where the actor starred against Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray, and Derek and Simon: The Show web-series, created with none other than Better Call Saul ’s Bob Odenkirk.

Considering the fact that Helberg always embodied more or less similar types of roles, it’s very easy to imagine an embarrassing high-school past of Howard Wolowitz in any of them. Besides, it’s always interesting to see how the actor changed throughout the years, and how his style has evolved.

If you enjoy the idea of The Big Bang Theory rewatch more than trying to dig deep into Simon Helberg’s acting past, you can go ahead and stream the show on Netflix or MAX.
