It would be very sad if they somehow messed up the most essential part of the show.

Let's face it, after the mess that was Game of Thrones Season 8, not many fans were ready to trust the show's prequel.

Unfortunately, once you mess up on such a large scale, it's very hard to regain the audience's attention, but House of The Dragon managed to exceed everyone's expectations.

Thanks to an amazing cast, talented writers, and source material that was already done and complete when the show was pitched, House of The Dragon Season 1 turned out to be everything fans dreamed of and more.

Not only the audience but also George R.R. Martin, who was heavily involved in the production, praised the final result.

Arguably the most important part of the show has always been the dragons. Viewers were introduced to them from the very first shot of the series and got to explore them more as the series progressed.

Each dragon that appeared on screen was so well thought out and beautiful that Martin could not let them go without a mention on the panel at the FYC 'House of the Dragon' screening.

"I mean, the dragons were great in Game of Thrones, but they were, like, all the same. And I like how- The minute I saw Caraxes I knew who the hell he was. And Syrax, coming in the beginning.

The dragons have personalities, and that's been something I really wanted. To see that kind of stuff come alive is a great satisfaction for me," the writer said.

As we already know from all the behind-the-scenes information, the dragons have been a big part of the Game of Thrones production, but all the efforts were mainly focused on giving them the right look.

House of The Dragon nails both, suggesting a variety of dragons with very different looks and stories to follow. After all, this show has a very special name to live up to.

If you are excited to see more dragons in Season 2, stay tuned for news and behind-the-scenes updates from the filming process.

In the meantime, House of The Dragon Season 1 is available to watch on MAX.
