‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 5 Finale Shocker: Who Is Killed & How It Sets Up Season 6 Location Twist
The new season of Hulu’s hit crime comedy has just ended on yet another major cliffhanger, and there’s a hint at where Only Murders in the Building’s season 6 will take off.
No one is safe at the luxurious building of Arconia on Manhattan’s Upper West Side — just like no one is safe outside of it.
Launched in September, Only Murders in the Building’s season 5 has just wrapped with the detective trio solving another crime case and ending up with another one just (literally) at their doorstep.
This time, Charles, Oliver and Mabel embarked on their own investigation of the murder of Lester, Arconia’s longtime doorman, having a strong suspicion that one of the three billionaires emerging this season might be involved.
Though this never turned out to be true, the show’s next instalment has just received an exciting tease about a possible European location — all due to a familiar character’s shocking death.
Who Is the Victim in ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 5 Finale? (Heavy Spoilers Ahead!)

In the show’s season 5 finale, Cinda Canning becomes the new victim at Arconia, dying at the doorstep, which is considered close enough to be yet another atrocious murder happening within the walls of the building.
Portrayed by Tina Fey, Cinda gets mentioned in the episode just seconds before she collapses and eventually dies, causing a turmoil among Arconia’s residents.
Moments prior to that, Charles, Oliver and Mabel are seen checking out Cinda’s new true crime show titled “The Girl with the Curls”, which recounts the protagonist’s investigation of a crime in London.
Fans of Only Murders in the Building, however, have been familiar with Cinda Canning long before her shocking death in this season — the character was introduced in season 1 back in 2021.
‘Only Murders in the Building’ Will Likely Move to London in Season 6

Even though the show hasn’t yet been renewed for another season (which will happen anyway, given this instalment’s conclusion), rumours about Only Murders in the Building changing its primary location in the future started even before the season’s finale premiered.
According to Deadline, some sources were positive about the show opting for a European location this time; now, since Cinda Canning’s death is somehow linked to that crime investigation in London, the chances are that the trio will have to visit the British capital at some point.
Should this happen, the next season will mark the first time when the show shifted to a non-US location — in season 4, however, the investigation was held in Los Angeles and not in New York.
All five seasons of Only Murders in the Building are available for streaming on Hulu.
