Is Disclosure Day based on a book? Where the script came from, and the novel it borrows exactly one word from
Every time Hollywood drops a movie that feels grown in a lab from pure premise — aliens are real, the government knew, a Kansas City weather girl finds out live on air — my first instinct is to hunt down the airport paperback it was strip-mined from.

Why don't you have a seat, because A24 just dropped the final trailer for Primetime ahead of its September 25 release, and Robert Pattinson's Chris Hansen is somehow both a perfect impression and a jump scare.

Judith Sheindlin has spent three decades telling grown adults to stop talking, and now she's telling television itself to stop talking. On the literal 30th anniversary of the day Judge Judy first aired — September 16, 1996, for those of us who were home sick from school a lot — she went on Good Morning America and announced she's done.

Peter Max, the artist America credits for the Beatles' Yellow Submarine, has died at 88
The psychedelic pop artist died on Thursday, and the first thing the internet did was connect him to a Beatles cartoon he had nothing to do with. He spent much of his life encouraging that, and the man who actually drew it has been dead since 2009.

The Christophers ending explained
On paper, The Christophers is a heist movie: Michaela Coel's Lori Butler, an art restorer with a gift for painting in other people's handwriting, gets hired by the two worst adult children in London — Jessica Gunning and James Corden, both having a wonderful time — to sneak into their dying father's house and secretly finish his abandoned masterpieces, so they can "discover" them after the funeral and retire on the proceeds.
