The actor was suspiciously quick to leave the production set.

Summary:

  • Pedro Pascal who stars in the HBO’s hit series The Last of Us has reportedly wrapped his filming for the second season which leaves fans wondering about his character’s possible gloomy fate.
  • Such buzz among fans can also be explained by the original game’s plot where a new character kills the one that is portrayed by Pascal.
  • Many fans were hoping for the creators to change some major plot twists for something better, but now these hopes fade.

The recent news concerning the second season of The Last Of Us may cause some tension for those fans that are familiar with the game’s plot.

Pedro Pascal, who has the leading role in the cinematic adaptation, is reportedly done with his shooting process, though the production started only this January. On top of that, the actor went straight from The Last Of Us to preparing for his role in the MCU meaning he didn’t have much to do on the set of the former.

The new season is meanwhile set to be released in 2025.

The reports may seem intimidating as the fans are concerned for Pascal’s character, Joel Miller, fate in the series. As the fans suspect that the second season will follow the events of The Last of Us Part II, the plot may become much more sinister than everyone expected.

Spoiler alert for The Last of Us season 2!

There’s a new character that appears in the second game — Abby Anderson, whose father was killed by Joel in the first game when the latter wanted to save Ellie.

As you might guess, even if you never played the game, Abby’s intentions are pretty clear — and she’s set to take revenge on Joel. Thus, in Part II she follows her enemy straight to Jackson in Wyoming and there beats him to death leaving Ellie as an eye witness of the whole cruelty.

And even though many fans have had some blind hopes for a different plot twist and the characters’ miraculous truce, it seems like it’s very unlikely to happen with all the latest updates about Pedro Pascal’s part in the show.

HBO’s The Last of Us’ first season premiered last year and kicked it off with high ratings, viewers’ delight and several prestigious awards. The show became an undeniable hit for the studio, but with the second season’s possible shocking (or not that much) turns of events there’s nothing yet to say anything for sure.
