If you combine Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs with the kind of humor of comedies with Seth Rogen or Will Ferrell, this is the movie you get. Well, at least it definitely has Will Ferrell in it. In the story, a dog Reggie (Ferrell) is abandoned by his abusive owner (Will Forte) and becomes attached to a pack of stray dogs (Jamie Foxx, Isla Fisher, Randall Park). As events unfold, he realizes that his owner didn't love him at all, so he decides to get revenge... by biting off his penis.

Release Date (Prime): February 9, 2024

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 71%

Camila Mendes (Riverdale, Palm Springs) stars in a new rom-com that may not be an example of an original, cliché-free story, but it is still a charming movie for those who are not squeamish about Hallmark films. The plot follows Ana (Mendes), a young woman trying to make her way in the art world. During one of her business trips, she is upgraded to a first class seat on a plane where she meets Will (Archie Renaux). Only he mistakes Ana for her boss (Marisa Tomei), and now the protagonist must balance a whirlwind romance with the truth that may be about to come out.

4. Bottoms

Release Date (Theaters): August 25, 2023

Release Date (Prime): February 13, 2024

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 90%

This is the kind of movie that will appeal to absolute haters of the genre it mocks as well as those who adore it. Bottoms, starring Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri, parodies typical high school comedies, replacing heterosexual tropes with queer ones, and absolutely does not shy away from being sex-positive and even violent — except that these elements revolve around female characters instead of male ones like in other teen comedies.

3. This Is Me... Now: A Love Story

Release Date (Prime): February 16, 2024

Rotten Tomatoes Score: -

Music movies revolving around pop divas seem to be gaining momentum in the industry, as evidenced by the colossal success of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. Now, while not everyone is willing to go to the theater to see such films, not many will turn out to see them on the small screen. This time around, Prime's attention turns to the incomparable J.Lo, as her surreal drama arrives to coincide with the release of her music album of the same name.

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Release Date (Theaters): August 2, 2023

Release Date (Prime): February 21, 2024

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 95%

An ode to the comic books and cartoons of the late '80s, the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles retains the classic aesthetic of the sewer metropolis and the love of New York-style pizza. But in doing so, the movie deconstructs the clichés and problematic moments of the original while targeting a modern teen audience. Most critics and viewers appreciated the clever and good-natured story, embellished with a unique animation style.
